We use digital cameras the way we used film cameras
Our Fujifilm X100V and Leica M10 are taped over the LCD. We shoot with a 1 GB card that holds about 36 frames. We use the optical viewfinder, not the screen on the back. We don’t chimp.
It’s not nostalgia for its own sake. It’s a working method. When you can’t check the image immediately, you commit to the moment. When the card holds 36 frames, you choose every shot. When you use a real viewfinder, you compose with your eye, not with a screen.
